On a spring day in 2011, the unthinkable happened: a man stormed a government office, shot down another and took a hostage. He grabbed the phone and dialled a number. On the other end was Gut Aiderbichl. Immediately the man demanded to speak to Michael Aufhauser. It was about his 14 horses that Gut Aiderbichl was supposed to take in. For the next six hours, the man talked about himself and his life - also about why. "I'm waiting," were his last words to Michael Aufhauser before he judged himself. The hostage was saved thanks to the officers. And we kept our promise, the 14 horses can now spend their twilight years at Gut Aiderbichl.
