Henndorf near Salzburg

Witness animal welfare

In the midst of an unspoiled landscape, about 20 km east of Salzburg, there is Gut Aiderbichl Henndorf, the place where in 2001 Michael Aufhauser and Dieter Ehrengruber laid the foundation for their vision and many other farms. Over 500 animals live in and around the main Gut Aiderbichl farm. If you add the animals on the outer farms, about 1,000 rescued animals find a forever-home here on 46.4 hectares.

Two paths lead to the inner courtyard. The driveway avenue, flanked by rare apple trees, is the direct path. If you want to let your dog run free or enjoy walking to the courtyard together with free-roaming dogs, use the romantic dog path just after the entrance. There is a pool at the end of the path where your dog can refresh himself. Please only take dogs that are not in heat and get along with other dogs on this path. Restrooms are located in the courtyard of the estate.

From May to October, you can also use our spacious picnic meadow where you can enjoy a delicious vegetarian or vegan picnic in the midst of our rescued animals. We look forward to your visit.

To the timetable

Even if we've succeeded in protecting animals from us, we have achieved nothing. It's only when we succeed in no longer having to protect them that we will achieve our goal.
Then, we will have changed something: US!
