Vision et buts

Even if we try to protect the animals against us, we have not achieved anything. It is only when we have succeeded in no longer having to protect them that we have achieved our goal. We have changed something: NOUS. - Michael Aufhauser

Vision of the Aiderbichler

La maison des animaux sauvés

Gut Aiderbichl has been working for animals for more than 20 years and is a very important institution for the welfare of animals throughout Europe. Our animal sanctuaries in 6 European countries are home to more than 6000 animals from a wide variety of situations. We guarantee each animal a safe and secure home until the end of its natural life. Currently, 35 different animal species live in our enclosures, where our keepers look after the animals 365 days a year.

Gut Aiderbichl sees itself as a place of encounter between men and animals. On our domains accessible to the public at Henndorf near Salzbourg, at Iffeldorf near Munich and at Deggendorf near Passau, you can enjoy nature and tranquillity. And this, surrounded by our many animals in freedom. Get to know our llamas, bovines, cattle, pigs, dromadaires, cows, rats and many other animals. Promenez-vous avec nos ânes ou regardez nos cochons faire la sieste. At each corner of the street, you will meet a very special animal with a personal story.

For us, the well-being of animals is an absolute priority. It is only thanks to the generous support of our donors and sponsors that we are able to care for the animals every day and provide them with the best possible care. Animals are our life - for more than 20 years.

Les buts des Aiderbichlers

Les animaux sont notre vie

  • The protection of animals is also the protection of human beings

The motto of Gut Aiderbichl is very clear: "Nous aimons les animaux !" Gut Aiderbichl envisions a world in which all living creatures live together in absolute harmony. The precondition for this vision would be a humanity that unites men, animals and nature. In the end, it is not the animals but the men who benefit the most from Gut Aiderbichl. Because Gut Aiderbichl reminds people of their true humanity and teaches them to walk through the world with an open heart and to meet others.

  • Attitude exemplaire

The enclosures are planned and constructed in accordance with the needs of our animals. Perception, sufficient space, balanced nutrition, sunshine, light, the best medical care, exercise, love, affection and many other things are important for us.

  • Compétence

Gut Aiderbichl has already helped many animals in great difficulty and has a large team of trained animal handlers, livestock handlers, farmers and specialists at its disposal. Appropriate logistics are also available. Nous nous occupons de nos animaux 24 heures sur 24, 365 jours par an.

  • Durability

Our vision includes the long-term conservation of what we have achieved to date, as well as the creation of new capacities for animals in need. This also includes a center of expertise where veterinarians, scientists, animal owners and interested parties can find out more. The Gut Aiderbichl Academy is certainly one such center. This is where the knowledge acquired by Gut Aiderbichl over the past 20 years is passed on to the public.

  • Valeurs

Values such as service, compassion and humanity are often lost in today's world. It is therefore all the more important to defend them. By treating animals, who are completely at the mercy of us, the humans, we can develop and demonstrate a sincere compassion.

  • Éclairage / Visualization

Gut Aiderbichl shares the stories of our animals with millions of people through publications. We use a wide range of channels for this: our website, the Gut Aiderbichl magazine, social media such as YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, as well as the written press and television. We explain the context and provide knowledge and points of view. We do this on our three domains, which can be visited as part of our free tours and exhibitions. This encourages visitors to reflect and think.

  • Protection of species

For several years now, Gut Aiderbichl has maintained close relations with institutions that are committed to the conservation of species on other continents. On the basis of our practical work, we see a great opportunity to carry out urgent work in these countries as well. In addition, we are also committed to the conservation of endangered domestic animals. Examples include the Tux-Zillertal bovine, the Noriker cattle, the Zackel cattle, the Kune Kune porc and the baroque Austro-Hongrois cattle.

  • Je suis un sponsor de Gut Aiderbichl!

With our many slaughtered animals, we have taken on an enormous financial responsibility. Saving and rehabilitating animals also means having the financial means to provide them with a home for life. The support of our members and symbolic sponsors forms the basis of Gut Aiderbichl. The non-profit foundations of Gut Aiderbichl in Austria, Germany and Switzerland depend entirely on donations, gifts and legacies. Thanks to a solid financial base, we are able to maintain and develop the work of our foundations. We thank you for your support - every euro goes towards the animals in need.
