When you talk to Paula, you often get the feeling that she understands you. Her gaze can be so attentive. We almost never got to know this wonderful mare, because she was on a slaughter transport to Belgium in October 2007. Animal welfare activists were able to stop the transport in Lower Austria, because some of the animals were even injured. Thanks to the cooperation of Gut Aiderbichl, the animal welfare activists and a generous couple, the 21 horses for slaughter could be bought free. At Gut Aiderbichl Köllersberger-Hof they experience only love and guidance. We have promised them that they will be allowed to stay until the natural end of their lives.
