The name Silvia comes from Latin and means "mistress of the forest". Her country of origin, Peru, is very barren, so we rather change the name to "Mistress of Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf", because the descendant of the guanacos even strides regally across the yard. With her big brown eyes, she seems to look deep into everyone's soul. But things were not always as rosy for Silvia and her friend, alpaca Bernhard, as they are today: before they came to us, the two were kept in disastrous conditions, so that the veterinary office felt compelled to confiscate both and place them at Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf.
