A family was on holiday at the farm. Exactly during their stay at the farm, a little calf was born. The family immediately fell in love with the little calf with the long eyelashes. They named it Kathi and visited it every day. As the holiday drew to a close, the family learned that Kathi would soon be leaving the farm - for an uncertain future. The daughters wanted to prevent this, sacrificed their piggy banks and were prepared to buy the calf out of their pocket money. This commitment impressed Dieter Ehrengruber and he agreed to take in Kathi, but also Franziska.
