Tiny was born in 2000 in the stable tent of a travelling circus. He lived through the ups and downs of the family business and was sold to a dealer in February 2009 when the circus was once again in financial difficulties. He offered Tiny at a horse market. A nine-year-old pony is hard to find a buyer for. There are simply far too many young ponies. Besides, she had no papers. The only person interested in Tiny was an Italian "battle horse" buyer. Tiny looked well-fed and in Italy her meat could be made into dog food or salami. But we beat the dealer to the punch. The reason why the pony mare looked so well-fed turned out three months later. On the 18th of May 2009 at 9:15 pm, she gave birth to a little filly named Joyna.
