We received a call for help from Upper Austria concerning a total of 1500 organic chickens, which are now 18 months old and are soon to make their way to the slaughterhouse. Numerous private rescuers had contacted us and promised their help. The farms of Gut Aiderbichl have also taken over many of these animals in order to give them a happy life. The condition of the chickens, with large areas of feathers missing from their bodies, shocked us deeply, because when you think of organic chickens, you imagine happy chickens in the fresh air with plenty of free range. So you ask yourself if perhaps "organic" is not the same as "organic". With the rescue of these chickens we want to set an example and draw attention to the suffering of these animals.
