Special care place - what does it mean?

Before we place the animals, we care for them in detail at Gut Aiderbichl. We know their history, their characteristics and their preferences very well. We are happy to help you find the right dog or cat.

Gut Aiderbichl places animals with a lifelong special foster home. This means that you give an animal a loving and species-appropriate "forever-home" with you, and thus assume full responsibility for your new protégé. Nevertheless, the animal remains an "Aiderbichler" forever.

At Gut Aiderbichl, we look back on many years of experience in dealing with animals. For this reason, we reserve the right that interventions in the lives of our former charges, such as major surgery or even euthanasia, must be agreed with us in advance.

I will be happy to help you find the right dog or cat for you.

We can take in many of these animals at Gut Aiderbichl, but our capacities are also limited. Our goal is to give all animals the prospect of a loving and species-appropriate home. That is why we also offer private individuals the opportunity to place their animals in a new home here.

to the bulletin board

Before your new family member moves in, there are a few things to consider:

We are very pleased that you are considering giving a dog from the animal shelter a new home. Many of our dogs and cats long for a private and safe home. And for many people, having their own pet is a wish of the heart. But the acquisition of an animal must be well thought out.

At Gut Aiderbichl, we have also experienced the human fates behind the animals that come to us. The costs caused by the animal suddenly become too great, the care takes up too much time in everyday life, or the living circumstances change due to a move.

Animals may not have a voice, but they do have certain needs that their home must meet. For this reason, it is important to us that the following points are well thought through before we place an animal with you. This way we can be sure that our fosterlings will find a loving "forever-home".

Housing situation
  1. What is your current living situation? Do you have enough space for a species-appropriate husbandry?
  2. If you live in a rental apartment, are you allowed to keep pets?
  3. Do you have a move planned in the near future?
Private situation
  1. Does anyone in the household have an allergy? Please get tested in case of doubt.
  2. Is the food for the animal provided during the vacation?
  3. Am I willing to also care for the animal if it gets sick?
  4. Am I willing to care for the animal for the rest of its life?
Professional situation
  1. Is caring for a pet compatible with your work schedule?
  2. How long would your pet be left alone?
  3. Is it possible to take your dog to work with you?
Care of the animal
  1. What are the exact tasks involved in caring for my dream pet?
  2. Have you considered the monthly fixed costs of around EUR 70 per month (vet bills or dog school may incur additional costs)?

Man and animal successfully brought together

We have already been able to give many dogs and cats a "home in happiness" and are happy every time we receive pictures, videos and messages from our Aiderbichl people. Here there is a small overview of our happily placed four-legged friends.
