Bridget currently lives in a special care place in Frankfurt:

Bridget is our beloved Jack Russell Terrier mix, a spayed female who is 4 years old (we adopted her when she was 1 year old). She is fully vaccinated, house trained and also knows many commands in Spanish 😅. With boundless energy, she is always ready for an adventure but can also be comfortably left home alone for a few hours.

She enjoys the company of other dogs when playing freely, but is reactive (pulling, barking etc) when met on lead. She needs time to get used to new people, especially big men, but when she does, she is very cuddly and loves to cuddle and play.

Why it doesn't work:

Unfortunately, our Bridget has struggled with stress since the birth of our baby. Despite a year of adjustments (and countless hours with multiple dog trainers), it's obvious that she's unable to cope with the unpredictability of a toddler. She now spends most of her time in her dog bed and basically only comes out when our son is sleeping or eating. It breaks our hearts to know that we can no longer provide her with a fulfilling and suitable environment.

Who we think would be a good fit for us:

Someone who can provide plenty of love and attention. As she has been rescued, experience with dogs or a willingness to invest time and effort is essential. Babies or young children should not live in the same household.

Bridget is a somewhat spoiled princess who does not like to share her caregivers. For this reason, we can well imagine a single home without a second dog
