When we heard about a 17-headed herd of aurochs that were to be slaughtered, we wanted to help and brought the small herd to us at Gut Aiderbichl Kilb. This breed is something special, because they are a back-breeding of the aurochs and also threatened with extinction. At Gut Aiderbichl, Luisa was born, but her mother had abandoned her and did not take care of the little calf. Our keepers took over this task and raised her. Unfortunately, she is quite a bit smaller than her peers, but that doesn't bother us - we love her anyway.
