I am the friendly Askim and may present myself here. From this I hope very, very much that I finally discover a good people for themselves and get me to themselves.
I would love to exchange the shelter life for a real home. For far too long, my life has been nothing but waiting and hoping. Every time some dogs here are examined and prepared for the journey to their families and foster homes, my inner voice whispers, "Please, please this time me too!" But so far, no one has loved me enough to want to take me in Between transport appointments, I wait anxiously, day after day, for one of the people who take care of us here to enter the kennel and maybe hand out some cuddles.I always get very excited and push my way to the front as best I can, but always remain nice to the other dogs. When I arrived here in October 2021, I was first insecure and skeptical and preferred to be left alone, but the times are over! It can be called irony of fate that now, when I feel human attention as something so great, I have no people at all who turn to me. At least not as it would be in a nice life as a family member, because the short moments that the shelter team here has to divide fairly among all the many dogs are always over much too quickly...In my kennel I live together with my buddy Leo and with three dog ladies, whom I also find nice. Just the other day the third of them came here to live with us after she was attacked in another kennel. So the keepers stayed with us for a while to see how the newcomer and the rest of us get along. This was so great! Finally a change of pace!
When we go on beautiful excursions together, I am allowed to stroke through the fragrant grass, we snuggle together on the couch in the evening, tired and content, then I am just happy. And I'm sure you are too. Because I am a really great, fun-loving dog who just wants to be YOUR dog.
I hope very much that you have seen me this time. Because only you can change my fate. A dog like me, who radiates so much love and joy, should no longer be reduced to a kennel. Please take heart and make the kennel doors open for me to the big, beautiful world!

Askim is ready to leave the country and can travel to Germany with the next transport. Our dogs travel legally with traces. Traces is the name of the database system used to monitor all animal traffic within the EU. The dogs travel neutered (if old enough), vaccinated, chipped and dewormed and have an EU passport. Furthermore, a rapid test for the following Mediterranean diseases is carried out on dogs 12 months and older before departure: Lyme disease, anaplasmosis, ehrlichiosis, dirofilariosis and leishmaniasis.
