There is no other animal, especially in German-speaking countries, which enjoys such great popularity as the cat. On the other hand, there is a large dark number of free-living cats that have become wild in nature and the forests. The suffering of cats continues unabated. While cat lovers enjoy frolicking kittens, these on the other hand, especially in rural areas, often face a cruel fate: the kittens are beaten to death, drowned or simply "disposed of" in the garbage. This is probably what would have happened to the little cat family that found refuge with us at Gut Aiderbichl France in 2017.
