We can only guess what Ines must have experienced. When we found her, she was standing on a slaughter truck that was supposed to go from Romania to Belgium. But animal rights activists became aware of the transport and were able to stop it in Lower Austria. Together with animal rights activists and an animal-loving couple we were able to buy the horses free. But the fearfulness and a certain caution remained in Ines. Again and again she struggles with claustrophobia when someone enters her box. But once she has gained trust, she is a "cuddly animal" and a loyal friend.
