When little Lina and her now deceased sister Jana came under the protection of Gut Aiderbichl, they were just seven months old. They belonged to the Saanen goat breed, which originated in the Bernese Oberland. This breed of goat is known and, above all, loved for its outstanding milk yield. They are considered to be low-maintenance, clean and very peace-loving. The perfect dairy goat. But even though Lina and Jana serve a conventional purpose, they must have become too much for the animal's owner. The trip to the slaughterhouse seemed inevitable. But animal lovers became aware of the two goat girls and thus saved their lives. All is well for Lina now and we will accompany her until the natural end of her life - that is what we promised her.
