It was supposed to be a normal afternoon. A long-time Aiderbichler was on her way outdoors to take her dog for a walk. Everything was as usual, when suddenly her dog, as if remote-controlled, ran in the direction of a ditch. Completely frightened, a swan goose was sitting in the ditch. She had obviously injured her wing and could no longer fly. The animal lover took the goose and rushed it to a veterinarian. The terrible diagnosis: a broken wing that could no longer be treated. For the goose, this meant the loss of independence. Survival in the wild would thus no longer be possible. The veterinarian presented the animal lover with two options to choose from. The first: to euthanize the animal. The second option, an amputation of the broken wing and placement in captivity. As a long-time Aiderbichler, her next thought fell directly on Gut Aiderbichl. And we were allowed to accept and goose lady Linda is now an Aiderbichler.
