The day Rosi was born on a farm in Bavaria, the farmer's wife moved in on the farm too. A particularly close relationship immediately developed between the two. Rosi was completely fixated on the farmer's wife ever since. This was to become her advantage when a tragedy occurred on the farm. Due to arson, the house and the stable, which contained 35 cattle, were ablaze. The farmer's family managed to escape into the open and tried to save the animals from the fire. In the middle of it all was Rosi the cow, screaming loudly in panic. When the farmer's wife saw her, she called for Rosi and suddenly she became quite calm and went to the farmer's wife, away from the flames. Since the stable burned to the ground, the cattle had to be sold. But Rosi was to be spared this fate. She was allowed to become part of our family.
