The losers at horse markets are almost always the animals, and they seem to know it. Because by no means every animal finds a responsible owner. Everything is new and unfamiliar, there is a slight nervousness in the air. The nerves can get the better of the most relaxed of contemporaries. Sissy, however, behaved completely differently. With her head bowed to the ground, she seemed to have surrendered to her fate. When we bought her back and brought her to Gut Aiderbichl, we were in for a big surprise. With us, Sissy is anything but introverted. With us she is fun-loving and sociable, an enrichment for our pony herd.
