Every year, over 250,000 horses are transported to faraway countries to be slaughtered. This was the fate Belinda was supposed to meet as a foal. But the lorry crashed and her owner told us that she was seriously injured. She had nursed the mare back to health and kept her as a leisure horse. But when finances are no longer enough, the animal eventually becomes a burden. An Aiderbichl friend asked us, in the name of the animal lover, to take Belinda in, because she should never again face a transport to slaughter - that had to be prevented at all costs. So Belinda came to us at Gut Aiderbichl.
