The gentle mare Cassandra had to go through bad things. In October 2007, she was to be transported from Romania to Belgium, ultimately to meet her death. Animal welfare activists were able to stop the transport because the animals were in a devastating condition. When Michael Aufhauser and Dieter Ehrengruber arrived on the scene, it was clear that the 21 horses had to be helped. The animal welfare activists were able to contribute a small part of the purchase price, but around 27,000 euros had to come from Gut Aiderbichl. When an animal-loving couple noticed this, they offered their help and took over a large part of the costs! Cassandra has found her forever home at Gut Aiderbichl Köllersberger-Hof!
