When Leonidas feels he is being watched, he likes to show off his beauty. Modesty does not seem to be his strong point, but what does that matter. He can count himself among those lucky ones who were spared the transport to slaughter after he was able to perform in dressage and show jumping. He was already in a dealer's stable when we found him. To some this seems cruel and unfair, but it is reality. As humans see and treat the horse as a piece of sporting equipment, these sensitive souls are never treated with respect.
