The white-brown tabby cat Maxi lived with his rescuer in Germany until recently. When he came to her, Maxi was two and a half years old and came from Bulgaria. There, the street cat had been bitten by dogs one day and lost his left hind leg. In Bulgaria, the handsome Maxi would have had no chance of placement, and so he traveled to Germany. A veterinary examination showed that the cat was also FIV positive. This did not change his temperament. In his new home there already lived some cats, also with handicaps. Maxi was chasing the cats around the apartment, who were feeling more and more stressed as time went by. So they began to consider finding a new home for Maxi. The animal-loving, desperate woman asked numerous animal shelters and sanctuaries to take in the lively Maxi: no one wanted to take him. Nobody except Gut Aiderbichl!
