In order for humans to find cheap pork on the shelves, the animals have to live under the worst conditions. For example, the pigs are fed to slaughter maturity within 6 months, which is only possible through one-sided breeding, little exercise and intensive feeding. The animals live crammed together in a very small space. A pig weighing 110 kg, for example, has just 1 m² of living space. The animals suffer immensely and not infrequently have painful musculoskeletal disorders. We were able to save Roberta from this cruel system at that time. Through her presence and good nature, we have the opportunity to bring the "pig" closer to humans again.
