Love-your-pet day

on 20.2.2024

For Love Your Pet Day on 20.2.2024

When people decide to live with one or more animals, it is not only important to take them into our care, but also to provide them with food appropriate to their species and, in the case of dogs or indoor cats, to give them exercise. The respectful and loving care of pets also includes the emotional and physical well-being of the animal.
February 20 has therefore become the day on which pet owners can show their pets even more clearly how much the animal is valued, loved, respected and also counts as a member of the family. All this should not only apply on Love Your Pet Day, but also until the natural end of the animal's life.

Animals don't judge - their relationship with humans is meant to be honest

Animals make their owners happy, they take away the feeling of loneliness, they are comforters and are always there when you need them.
If you have a pet, your daily routine is actually structured by the animal. Our four-legged friends keep us physically active and also help us to find peace and relaxation.
At the same time, animals are also "the best medicine" for humans and soothe the soul. Important for many people: the love of animals slows down stressful situations.

Animals do not judge. They do not judge their humans according to social status or income. Animals also don't care whether we are dressed fashionably or in baggy clothes.

Without reverence for life, humanity has no future

- Albert Schweitzer

How do you find your best pet? If you enjoy being outdoors and your work schedule allows it, a dog is probably the right companion. Older people might prefer a cat? For children, you can buy guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, sometimes even a pony or a budgie.

Countless animals from households have found a new forever home at one of Gut Aiderbichl's animal homes . They can no longer live with their humans for financial, health and many, sometimes questionable, reasons.

Before acquiring an animal, it is important to ask yourself unconditionally whether your living situation, space, time and financial resources allow for one or more pets.

Animals are our fellow creatures and not "want-to-have goods" that are given away when it is no longer possible to keep them for certain reasons.
Four-legged family members have an important educational role to play: children learn to treat living creatures with respect and reverence, and they also learn not to simply push away something they no longer enjoy.

I wish you a wonderful "animal cuddle pampering day", your Gisela

One does not have one heart for people and one for animals. One has a single heart or none at all.

~ Alphonse de Lamartine, French poet, writer and politician in the 19th century.
