Movie Star and Prinz
found themselves in a tricky situation
From the perspective of Gut Aiderbichl
(written by Gisela Pschenitschnig)
Two long-time Aiderbichler learned about the story of Movie Star and Prinz. The lease for the stable where the pony Prinz and the horse Movie Star were employed had to be vacated due to the landlord's own needs. It seemed to be very difficult to find a new place, so the owner thought of taking Movie Star and Prinz to the horse slaughterer.
The horses had been lucky that the two long-time Aiderbichler found out about the problem and took action. Movie Star and Prinz were able to move into their new forever home in Henndorf in June of this year.
Some stories repeat themselves over and over again ...
Movie Star, a Trakehner, what a great name. The Trakehner brings toughness and nobility, and that shows in his character. He is willing to perform and willing to go, sensitive and intelligent. The Trakehner has a temperament and a pronounced will of his own, but he is basically good-willed and docile. Both consistency and empathy on the part of the rider are required. On the day he was picked up, Movie Star was very thin, he has a low back and he had terrible hooves that have not seen a farrier in a long time.
Prince is a german riding pony, so very balanced, sociable and strong nerves.
The German Riding Pony is bred as a show horse for children and youngsters. youngsters. It is like a small big horse with the same proportions of head, body and legs. This allows the young riders to train on "real" horses from the very beginning.
Prinz showed a strange gait, when stressed Prinz trembles all over his body and drags his hind legs. According to the previous owners, Prinz had been injured by the farrier during a treatment and was therefore walking strangely. The last appointment with the farrier must have been some time ago. Prinz will be examined by our veterinarian and can be treated accordingly after a diagnosis.
Transfer of the horses to the A-stable of Gut Aiderbichl Henndorf
The A-stable is surrounded by gently rolling pastures, where our old horses and those that need rest have found their home. Horses of all kinds of breeds and origins live here very contentedly and well-balanced.
Movie Star and Prinz have already settled in very well in this special A-stable. They joined a group of horses where they feel comfortable. The grooms are trying to get to know their new charges well.
First of all, Movie Star needs to gain weight, and his diet is monitored day and night for this reason.
Prince is especially affectionate. Soon we will also know how to manage his "health issues".
When I look into their eyes, I am lost ...
For many years I have been working at Gut Aiderbichl. Many animals have come, many have died, many have told me their story. They can't speak, but their eyes tell volumes about their lives - and that's when I look them in the eyeor close my eyes and listen to what information the animal wants to tell. Many of them have their little secrets.
We are all happy that Movie Star and Prince at alive could stay aliveand did not have to be taken to the slaughterhouse because of a lease that expired.
Your thoughtful Gisela
If man is touched by the ethics of reverence for life, he harms and destroys life only out of necessity, which he cannot escape, never out of thoughtlessness.
