a pony and his family needed help
Amigo's owners are in advanced age and in very poor health. Neither of them is able to take care of Amigo.
Probably, many animals are in such life situations and unfortunately you can not help them if you do not know the situation. Once again, it is important to look and try to rescue.
Amigo's condition was worrying
Amigo is about 10 years old and was found by an animal loving person in a very questionable condition. At a very young age, Amigo came to live with his family and everything seemed to be going well. Now the pony was discovered in a 4×4 meter stable. There was a paddock for exercise that was also 4×4 meters. The hooves had not seen a farrier in over a year, and laminitis was certainly causing him pain. Amigo was not socialized, tried to kick and bite. He resisted any sign of concession. What happened there?
There are always seemingly hopeless situations for people and animals. Lack of funds, illness and other problems, very often bring situations in which no one knows what to do. Thank heaven, there are always people who recognize and help. Amigo unfortunately could not stay with his "rescuing" human, but the contact with Gut Aiderbichl should bring the positive turn in Amigo's life.
Amigo slowly finds trust again
A Welsh pony like Amigo has a very warm character. The living conditions for him were not the best. Now, at Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf, his distrust seems to be slowly fading again.
The staff observe that he has friendly feelings especially for Felix, a six-year-old Freiberger. Felix's calmness and composure are likely to be transferred to his new friend. Together they stand in the pasture, together they go to the stable. There is no loneliness for Amigo now, his hooves are cared for, as is his coat, and there is lovely hay and little horse treats now and then.
Amigo's heart also beats for Vicky, a twenty-year-old Noriker horse born at Gut Aiderbichl. Hannerl, a calm mare, also belongs to his new circle of friends.
Like many people, Amigo also managed to find a new way out of his dreary existence and into a good future.
