Until now they have only known pain

Rocky and Rambo on their new path in life

Two animal-loving people who have been Aiderbichlers for years approached Dieter Ehrengruber with a heartfelt wish: "...We have known about Mr. Aufhauser's work since the very beginning. ... I never thought that I too would have to send a call for help to Gut Aiderbichl one day ...".

In a very touching email, the situation of Rocky and Rambo was described, two dogs aged two years, who had been born in Turkey with deformities in their little legs. Once again we are grateful to all the people who support the work of Gut Aiderbichl. We were able to cover the costs of the first surgeries in the amount of about 4,500.00€, and thus alleviate the pain of the siblings a little for the time being.

Rocky and Rambo rescuers help animals in Turkey

In a small animal shelter in Turkey currently live over 200 cats and 11 dogs. The German couple helps with private donations, but the money is always too tight and is only enough for the bare necessities.
One day, the couple was back on site to take three cats with them to be placed in Germany. On their way past the dog enclosure, they lost their them heart stopped: a pair of siblings with deformed fore andThey saw a pair of siblings with deformed fore and hind legs looking at them in pain. The ground is too uneven for them to walk without discomfort. Both came to a Turkish family as puppies, but they gave them back because they were overwhelmed with the dogs' disabilities.
In the veterinary hospital they got the diagnosis that an operation could be done only to one of the two The deformities of the second dog would be more or less irreparable. Because of the pain this should rather be euthanized.

"It's heartbreaking to see these two dogs like this".

Dieter Ehrengruber agreed to finance theof the first treatments. For dogs from third countries, examinations and impfungen are required to get them into Austria. The transport boxes were ready, and so was the plane bound for Stuttgart. There were two human hearts beating with joy and visceptical doggy eyes when the journey began. The Aiderbichl credo is: There is a solution for (almost) everything, you just have to believe in it and never give up.never give up.

"... They should have a nice dog life ..."

Rocky and Rambo were expected by Aiderbichler employees at the airport. Excitedly, the dogs' eyes looked to see what was going on. After a short break, they left for their home farm Gut Aiderbichl Kärnten. Here Rocky and Rambo were already expected.
"I am sure that the two will settle in well, and they should have a nice dog life". Markus Leitner, administrator of Köglerhof, reports that Rocky and Rambo's new family are Barni, Ricky, Tiffi and Tina.

Rambo sometimes withdraws, likes to cuddle and enjoys the cuddles of the people from Köglerhof. It's probably all a little foreign, and Rambo takes a calmer, more skeptical approach than his sister Rocky. She is the one who motivates her brother to play and sometimes gets a little more pushy, until her brother finally gets up and starts to play happily with her and the other dogs.

Rocky and Rambo will make their way, and we will spare no effort to take advantage of further medical examinations and help to give the two dogs a life full of hope and joy.

Compassion for living beings of unequal stature is perhaps the highest form of emotional intelligence.
