Three at once
12 tiny cat paws conquer hearts
For many elderly people or those who live alone, a cat is the only living creature that stands by as a companion. You can murmur your worries into its ears, stroke it, massage its ears and feed it. It gives us honest feelings and we humans are not questioned. A cat, like many other animals, usually chooses the people it wants to live with itself.
Cats from the farm
A few days ago, we received three adorable kittens from a farm. Actually, the farmer's wife wanted to bring us two mummy cats and five kittens, but then suddenly the mummies and some kittens could not be found, and three small kittens were left in the stable, which were already very weak...Out of concern, the farmer's wife first brought us the three kittens alone. The very next day, we went out again to look for the cat mamas and the other babies, but unfortunately without success...So three kittens moved in with us: the red cat Ginger, the grey tiger Cinnamon and a second tiger named Dino.
For a few weeks, the keeper's office will now be a cat nursery
When the little ones arrived, everything was already prepared. Now the real work began: the feeding.
During the night, the keepers took the tiny animals home in turns, because growing animals are also hungry at night. It's not the time of day that counts, but the hunger. The three meowed in sharp tones and wanted milk. The first few days the milk was given with a syringe. Then we massaged their tummies, stroked them and slowly put them back into their cat beds until the next hunger attack came a short time later.
Cinnamon was a problem child from the beginning
She was much weaker and smaller than Ginger and Dino and did not really want to drink. The condition worsened and the weakened cat was immediately taken to the vet. There Cinnamon was given an infusion of dextrose and an anti-inflammatory for the pain in her tummy. The doctor had done a good job and Cinnamon felt much better a short time later and was visibly fitter.
Social life in the children's cat room
The three of them cuddle and sleep all day long and only hunger wakes them up. Dino starts shouting at the top of his voice "Hunger, where's the milk?", Ginger holds back because she knows that a human hand is about to come and hold her tenderly and good, warm milk will flow out of the teat into her little mouth. Cinnamon also pulls more and more greedily on the teat.
You wouldn't believe it, but the three musketeers are already eating cat food and going to the litter box by themselves and look very happy when "it" is done. Then, every day there are a few rounds of play, mutual grooming, and very quiet, contented purring. As soon as Cinnamon, Ginger and Dino are big and strong enough, they will be looking for a loving home with a family.
It is only thanks to your support that we can help animals and give them a loving home until the natural end of their lives. Please continue to support us with a small donation or a symbolic sponsorship. Thank you very much!
