Susi
A missing dog found his master again
Once upon a time there was a sweet little dog... - that's how Susi's story could start. Romantic and playful.
Susi is a mixed breed dog with silky, soft fur and big, blue googly eyes. She and her master were like a pot and its lid, but now: where was the master?
Susi was run away
Normally Susi sits strapped up next to her master when he drives his big truck through the country. She is a good listener and listens to all the joys and disasters of her master without contradicting him.
One day, after a break, the truck driver notices that Susi has made off. He calls and searches, but far and wide there is no Susi to be found. He has to drive on with a heavy heart and the whole tragedy now begins its course.
Susi was used to driving...
...and so Susi was discovered on the highway near Puch, Salzburg. The Austrian Animal Rescue was contacted, where Susi could feel safe. There the little dog spent a night and was to be brought to Gut Aiderbichl the next day.
Immediately, everything was done to give Susi a home for the next four weeks, which is how long the "obligation to keep" lasts. In the meantime, we hoped to find the owner of the adorable dog.
Checking the state of health and then admission to a dog room
Susi's blue eyes grew larger and larger and she looked around frantically as she was weighed. The scale indicated that little Susi had a few deca more on her little belly. The claws needed to be trimmed and a coat cleaning was also needed. Where had she been roaming around?
The next day came the first walk around the farm in Henndorf. Susi pulled in her tail a little at first, because there were many donkeys, ponies and pigs - Susi knew her way around cars, but obviously not so well with big animals. Every day she became more confident and her eyes didn't look so excited anymore.
In the meantime, her master wrote frantic messages on social media, hoping that someone had found his little beloved Susi.
A colleague noticed a photo on Facebook - Susi was found.
How does a dog owner feel when his dog ups and leaves?
Sometimes a second is enough and the dog is gone. The door is open, the dog grabs the opportunity and is off and away. You see him running and have no chance to come after him, or: he is gone and you have no idea how that happened. This was the case of the small, lively Susi.
The dog is on a voyage of discovery and the owner has a thousand thoughts running through his head. However, the thoughts do not bring back the little runaway, but, hope dies last.
