Dog Marley
A dog does not know how to write love, but he knows exactly how to show it every day
When a family member dies, the shock not only hits humans, but also their animals. When Marley's mistress died suddenly, the fox terrier was hit twice. Not only he suddenly lose his most important caregiver, but also his owner couldn't be there for him to the extent that Marley desperately needed.
The fox terrier became increasingly sad and withdrew from the outside world.
The way out of a dark tunnel
Marley's owner was in great worry about his faithful friend, but he could not change the living situation. He asked Dieter Ehrengruber for help and Marley found a wonderful place in the dog room of Selina and Alexia.
Marley's power came back - attention and love helped
The handsome fox terrier mongrel became more active, approachable and cuddly again over time in the midst of his fellow dogs. Dog Alexia became his dearest friend. When the two of them were together, it was as if Alexia would comfortingly say to him, "Look, we're fine here. We have everything we need. It's going to be all right!".
The groomers also became important caregivers for him. He greeted them happily every day. He always enjoyed playing with the other dogs in the play area, but never took his eyes off "his humans".
Joy, friends, cuddling...slowly the "real" Marley returned. He gained weight again and his health improved visibly. And for everyone's amazement, it even turned out that Marley loves search games more than anything! His gentle terrier nose flits across the ground like the wind, restlessly searching for the hidden treats! It goes without saying that he is always the first to find all the treats, doesn't he?
Alone in the room is not possible
Marley's integration into his small dog group was very important for him. For Marley, it was always the worst thing when he was alone in the dog room - even if only for a few minutes, because he clearly could not and did not want to be alone!
He would then start to whine piteously, as if to say: "Hello, I'm here! Don't forget me!". As soon as the door opened again and a groomer had time for him, Marley barked joyfully, jumped up and his beautiful eyes shone. Everything was suddenly good again.
We found a nice special care place for Marley
Marley desperately needed more company from loving people around him. Being alone is simply not for him and makes him sad. That's why it's all the nicer that a great foster home could be found. In the meantime, he has become a really happy fox terrier and we are very happy for him. Of course, Marley will remain part of our family for life and can come back to us at any time.
The life of all living beings, be they human, animal or other, is precious and all have the same right to be happy.
Everything that inhabits our planet, the birds and the wild animals, are our companions. They are part of our world, we share it with them. (Dalai Lama)
