18 kittens slowly open their little eyes
You remember the story of Autumn who gave birth to 5 healthy kittens - Talon, Leaf, Pumpkin, Weene and Lunar? They are already really funny on the way and mommy Autumn is highly busy with their upbringing.
Everything has now turned out well for the four white tabby cats, who were urgently looking for a new forever home. Their owner was seriously ill with dementia and had to go to a nursing home. Thus, the four "Myladies" Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter were taken in at the Begegnungshof of Gut Aiderbichl Henndorf.
Autumn, about five years old and white mackerel, gave birth to her 5 adorable, core healthy babies and now ...
... it was also time for Spring, Summer and Winter ...
Winter gave birth to 4 kittens, Summer to 5 kittens and Spring, like Autumn, became a mommy cat to 4 velvet paws.
The freshly born mamas all have full paws to do: there is sucking and smacking, then a baby falls asleep again at the teat, sometimes there is a little bickering about the "best" teat, and so on.
Very patiently and lovingly Spring, Summer and Winter "meow" over the hungry little mouths, and lovingly they lick the little balls of wool with their tongues. There is purring and cuddling - what could be better at the moment than being a cat mom with healthy, well cared for babies?
The animal keepers also have their hands full
The cribs must get fresh pads and blankets - several times a day, the mommies get the best food, so that they recover from the birth stress, produce good milk and also so that the mommies want for nothing.
In a few days, probably all newborn kittens will open their eyes, and with time you will also be able to observe what characters are hidden behind the beautiful fur of each cat. Like every person, every cat has its own special nature.
What will the future bring?
First of all, we will have to look for names for the 13 newborn kittens and, we hope for animal-loving people who would like to have a young kitten - or maybe two - living with them.
