Cats have 7 lives

Emilia feels like a newborn

There is a saying that cats should have 7 lives. We are also strongly convinced of this, because our little Emilia is a true fighter and hopefully has many more than 7 lives ahead of her.

FIP - A death sentence and at the same time a battle to be won

Emilia and her brother Emil came to Henndorf in 2019. An animal-loving woman had got the young cats from a farmer. She was also completely convinced that the little black kittens were perfectly healthy, but unfortunately it turned out after a few months that Emilia had FIP.

Clear symptoms

Emilia's fur was dull, she could no longer meow, her mucous membranes were stained yellow and she was not very hungry. The animal caretakers knew about a new drug against FIP. The drug treatment was very expensive. But Dieter Ehrengruber was determined to help little Emilia. A fundraising campaign on our social media channels was started, and thanks to many animal-loving people, we were able to start the treatment with the new drug. Many thanks again to all of you, dear Aiderbichl supporters!

Emilia is a patient patient

The treatment lasts 84 days in the best case. Every day at the same time, the drug is injected under the skin. Every 28 days, Emilia has a blood test. We are satisfied, because she has almost normal blood values now. Her hunger has also returned and our little black panther has gained over 1.5 kg in the first three months of treatment. This is a really great success and we are so happy that she is feeling better again.
Special food also gave the black fur a beautiful shine again and our fosterling was additionally supplied with vitamin B12.

In a few days we will have another check-up at the vet, and if all goes well, Emilia will be finished with her treatment.

Playing is fun again

The combination of everything - an appealing medication, care, love and belief in the cure made the symptoms of the disease almost disappear. Emilia can "meow" quite loudly again and makes the care team smile with her lively, happy nature. The delicate velvet paws are venturing into a new, healthy future.

Emilia is now pain-free and feeling well. We would like to thank you all again for believing in little Emilia's life with your donation.

Only thanks to your support we can help animals like Emilia and give them a nice life until their natural end of life. Please continue to support our animals with a donation or a symbolic sponsorship. Thank you very much!
