Puma and Da Vinci
can safely grow old
Puma and Da Vinci are two cats who are the greatest joy of a very sick lady. For 15 years the animal-loving lady has been confined to a wheelchair. In addition, her health condition is deteriorating more and more, hospital stays are increasing and now 24-hour care is needed.
The caregivers of the sick lady require a "cat-free" household. For the sick woman in a wheelchair, in addition to the health dilemma, there is now the decision to part with her cats.
"When we help animals, we also help people"
First and foremost, we see it as our duty to help animals in need and give them a home. In the case of Puma and Da Vinci, by taking in the aged cats (15 and 16 years old), we were at least able to take away the worry of the sick lady in the wheelchair about what to do with her cats. Animals and people often feel "at the mercy" - but usually there is a good solution for everything.
The solution for Puma and Da Vinci was Gut Aiderbichl Maria Schmolln. The lady was also assured that she can visit her two darlings as often as possible.
Gut Aiderbichl Maria Schmolln
Maria Schmolln is a cat paradise, where dozens of cats, but also dogs and chickens from various life situations have been given a new home. In the beautiful cat house, there are several spacious, comfortably furnished cat rooms.
In winter the cat residents look for a cozy place in the rooms and during the warm summer months the many cats spread out among the bushes and trees on the spacious grounds in Maria Schmolln.
Puma loves the cat kitchen
Puma has settled in very well and is a so-called alpha cat. Everyone has respect for the self-confident, black and white tomcat. His very favorite place is the cat kitchen. He knows there is a dresser where the good cat treats are hoarded. Puma spoils the groomers with his languorous look and his quiet purr to catch an extra treat, which he undoubtedly always succeeds in doing.
Da Vinci, a red tabby male, is elegantly above it all. He loves his new home too and enjoys the sunny hours in front of the house. He also likes to purr with all the other cats.
