Lucky
The cat from Iran
The requirements in animal husbandry on our farms are well thought out and our animal keepers conscientiously adhere to the specifications. Respectful, loving treatment of the animals is a matter of course and is at the top of our philosophy.
The Aiderbichl cat project is also well thought out and well-trained, sensitive carers look after the velvet paws. When we take in cats in particular need of care or those with rare diseases, we bring them to Gut Aiderbichl Traisen.
Those cats that are particularly fond of freedom are put into comfortable transport boxes and start their journey to Gut Aiderbichl France. There they spend their twilight years in the old, cosy cellar of the castle on the estate near Moulin. So in the old castle cellar you won't find old wine, but purring, happy cats.
In Deggendorf, Iffeldorf, Henndorf and in Maria Schmolln, we provide the cats with well thought-out and species-appropriate indoor and outdoor enclosures.
Lucky lay alone under a tree
A native Styrian and her husband had a great job at the UN and were living in Iran. One day, they went for a walk through the city and found a small, sick kitten under a tree. They took it home and lovingly cared for it. Lucky had to have three operations on his eyes. The operations went well and he, the lucky one, has 90% vision in one eye and 40% in the second.
Lucky and his rescuers were a little family
The owners were in love with their cat. He was very grateful and loved to cuddle and play with his people. Life was fine. He didn't have to go hungry, was loved and cared for - it couldn't have been better.
But work called the couple to New Caledonia, and unfortunately Lucky could not go there with them. Legal regulations unfortunately made it necessary to find a new place for Lucky to stay.
How good that there are telephones, computers and above all Aiderbichl
An email arrived describing Lucky lovingly and we actually couldn't say no. Lucky started his journey and now he lives at Gut Aiderbichl in Maria Schmolln. There he was a bit confused at first, because he was not used to so many other animals...
But animal keeper Rosi describes him as a meanwhile very communicative, young tomcat who enjoys so much his life with all the cats and dogs in Maria Schmolln. His eyes are not exactly the best, but he sniffs his way through life and his four-legged friends show him the way when he needs to. Grateful and content, he now often snuggles with his new friends in the warm sunshine and is happy that his owners have found a nice home for him.
It is only thanks to your support that we can offer animals like Lucky a loving home until the natural end of their lives. Please continue to support us with a symbolic sponsorship or a small donation. Many thanks on behalf of the animals.
