Toulouse and Fraggles

New velvet paws at Gut Aiderbichl Maria Schmolln

Cats are constantly being handed in to veterinary clinics as "lost cats" and then find a new forever home at one of Gut Aiderbichl's animal homes .

For a few months now, Toulouse and Fraggles have also had a cozy, protected home and numerous conspecifics with whom they have already made good friends.

Animals are one thing according to the law

and people "lose" things

According to the law, lost pets or pets that have permanently escaped from their owner, as well as pets without a known owner, are a lost and found animal. The lost and found office of the respective city or municipality or, at night, the police are responsible for their care, accommodation and the necessary veterinary treatment. The municipality is responsible for the safekeeping of a lost property, i.e. also of a found animal. Since hardly any lost and found office has the possibility to accommodate and care for a homeless animal in a species-appropriate manner, this care task is usually transferred to an animal shelter or animal welfare association.

A "lost" or "stray" animal can be defined as an animal that is wearing a collar, has a microchip, is found in a good state of care, and also exhibits trustworthy behavior. This is probably the most likely way to determine and suspect that the found animal still has an owner. As a rule, a found animal can be considered ownerless after at least 4 weeks if no owner has come forward by that time.

Toulouse

The beautiful red and white cat

Toulouse is about two years old, and was brought from the veterinary clinic to Maria Schmolln after consultation. He has only three legs, the right front leg had to be amputated. He is a well-behaved, grateful and very cuddly cat with mysterious eyes. Toulouse takes his handicap calmly. He gives the impression that he would like to live in a family.

Fraggles

The light tabby cat looks like an enchanted princess

Fraggles, who is about three years old, also came directly to Gut Aiderbichl from the animal clinic.
Fraggles has heart problems, but we have managed to control them well with medication. The beautiful Fraggles also indicates that she would like to live with a family.

Whether sheltered house cat or found cat - they all have one thing in common:

The sweetest sound in the world is the purr of a cat.

Fraggles and Toulouse should enjoy their life - which they do to the fullest among all the cats in Maria Schmolln can do.
