Gringo
A charmer in Haflinger guise
From the perspective of Gut Aiderbichl
(written by Gisela Pschenitschnig)
animals, having animals around is part of life for many people. A Family-member on four legs enriches life: with love and trust, with work and worries. When we keep animals, we are responsible for them, as long as they live.
When you get a foal, you don't think about the fact that it will eventually grow up, get sick, have to be euthanized, or have to be given away for financial or other reasons. However, one should consider it. Dying and living are connected, neither one nor the other should be excluded.
What will happen to the dog, the cat, the horse....
When I am no more?
This was probably also the opinion of Gringo's owner, and anchored in her will, that Gringo Aiderbichler if she dies before him.
Thus, after the reading of the will, Gut Aiderbichl was contacted., and Gringo started his journey to his new forever home. The health check did not bring any worrying diagnosis. The teeth are in good order for his age, heart, lungs, etc. also unproblematic. After all, our Gringo is a 21-year-old Haflinger. Well protected, in the midst of his numerous conspecifics in Henndorfhe can now spend the rest of his spend.
Gringo came, saw and won
He loves people and his Laika
If Gringo could speak the human language, he would do it. So he speaks with his horse language, and we humans have to feel what he means. He comes here, and loves to be stroked on the neck. The nostrils become wide and Gringo wants to smell the human who is doing good to him. He loves his new family, where live for example Gazelle, Fidelio, Karino, Reno and some other wonderful horses with also great history.
Gringo's great love became Laika, an Arabian mix. According to the information, Laika comes from a blood farm in Holland. If you want to believe it, Laika had not had a nice life until a few years ago. But now she is also in love - up to both ears, the past seems to be forgotten.
A few days ago, the summer pasture was opened for the horses and cattle at Gut Aiderbichl Henndorf. If you are looking for peace and quiet and want to take a deep breath, look at the huge group of horses in the distance. In the middle of it all stands Gringo with his Laika - completely unmissable. Two lovebirds with long manes.
Gringo's owner must have loved her horse immensely. She wanted Gringo to be well taken care of, and here he is: proud, beautiful, well-behaved and in love with his Laika and life.
