Caramello lives in the cat living room in Henndorf and has been trying to find his feet there for a few days. He is grieving, everything is new, there are other cats and keepers, but his human is no longer there.
Caramello obviously prefers to stay in the outdoor enclosure. There he lies down under the bushes to hide and observe his new surroundings. He sees a lot of people walking past the enclosure and they notice the beautiful cat, an Angora mix.

The cliché that a human is only the convenient source of food for his cat has existed since time immemorial. Observations show that the matter is different. Caramello's signs of grief are his silence and his withdrawal into the enclosure. Or also that he sometimes reacts more aggressively to another cat. For him, everything is new: the living situation, the conspecifics, the smells, the human is no longer there, but many other people are making an effort for his well-being. Our animal keepers spoil Caramello with treats, looking for time when he allows them to be stroked and caressed. They talk to him happily, and not sadly - he is anyway. They try to cheer him up and lure him away from his dark valley. Let's hope that Caramello will soon be able to leave the mourning phase behind him.
