Rocky was able to leave his past behind

Rocky, the sweetest Turkish street dog with a devastating story

From the point of view of an Aiderbichler (written by Gisela Pschenitschnig)

Rocky's story of suffering tells at the same time the many fates of street dogs and strays in various countries of the world. Antentional someone drove him with the car down. One left the injured Rocky to his fate, and so he lay on the side of the road until he was discovered.
The scene with the purposeful driving down had been filmed. What had happened here? How cruel must a human being be, to hit a dog "planned" with the car and to let it lie injured? Maybe even to film it himself?

"But it is a strange fact that the horrible loses its terror when it is always repeated." (Michael Ende)

For some people it is "normal" to torture animals: you cut their ears round, you kill cigarette butts on their little bodies, you cut off cats' tails, you gouge out animals' eyes, you tie animals somewhere to let them die. Where do you start, where do you stop working against such cruel activities.

A dedicated animal welfare activist, who works for castrations, learned about Rocky's fate and became active. For her, the horror never ends, she helps animals in need unceasingly and with all her strength.
During her research, she learned that Rocky had been placed in a shelter that was not in the country.which was not able to take care of Rocky's treatment. The animal rights activist named Uras Nilüfer (Instagram account: @nil_ufer27) therefore took Rocky out of the shelter and brought him to an animal hospital. They had initiated initial measures there right away - he had internal bleeding, was blind in one eye and had bruises. He was very depressed but thankfully recovered from his injuries. Rocky learned again that not all people are bad and hurt him. He gained confidence and many people took part in Rocky's fate. Rocky could not have stayed in the clinic all his life and would have been back on the streets - hell would have started all over again.

Rocky should go to a forever home at Gut Aiderbichl

En rescuing a dog from a foreign country to want, requires compliance with numerous legal and veterinary procedures. The animal welfare activist took care of all documents for the transport of Rocky and asked the animal emergency center of Gut Aiderbichl to take over the pickup from Turkey. She wished in any case a life for Rocky far away from the life on Turkish streets.

Accompanied with best wishes for his future, Nilüfer released Rocky into the care of Gut Aiderbichl. "He deserves to find a good, loving home!" - with these words they handed over Rocky. The plane flew with Rocky towards Austria - and now he has a safe home at Gut Aiderbichl in Henndorf foundwhere he arrived safely.

"In all the mischief that happens, it is not only those who do it who are to blame, but also those who do not prevent it." (Erich Kästner)

Rocky gains confidence and loves the new environment

Rocky was lovingly taken over by the animal keepers. For weeks he has been creeping more and more into the hearts of his caretakers. He is happy when it goes out into the forest or on the free-range meadow to romp around with his fellow animals.

Forgotten seems what happened to him in Turkey. We have the impression that Rocky has left his physical and psychological problems behind. Somewhere as the crow flies between Turkey and Austria, he has thrown the past overboard.

Let us look and help where we can. Every life on this earth is a particle of the whole. In this sense, sincerely, your Gisela
