Cat Fritzi

Unfortunately, she was not allowed to go to the nursing home

Cats, dogs, guinea pigs, canaries ... animals that people have incorporated into their lives. They became friends and thus inseparable.
Time and again, Gut Aiderbichl also receives requests to take in animals from people who have to go into a nursing home for health or age-related reasons.

Animals cannot come with you to the nursing home

Maybe this system will change at some point. At the moment, it is probably for hygienic reasons that cats or dogs, for example, cannot come into the home.

"But I was the favourite of my people. We lived together for many years, and where do I go now?" - Fritzi the cat asked herself as she slid into this "homeless" situation.

An Aiderbichler woman worriedly asked for Fritzi to be taken in

An email reached us in which a long-time Aiderbichler asked to take in one of her foster cats. She has a feeding station for stray cats and also has 5 purr tigers of her own.
We learned that Fritzi's owners had to go to a nursing home and could not take their cat, which they had loved more than anything, with them. Fritzi was now homeless and without care. The cat seemed healthy and the lady took him in lovingly. She also took him for a health check right away. The blood test revealed that Fritzi was FiV positive. The disease can only be transmitted from cat to cat.

With this disease, however, the cat has to be separated from healthy animals. Actually, there would already have been a place in a cat home, but the gnashing diagnosis made the admission waver.

And so came the quiet request

to Gut Aiderbichl. Fritzi was taken in and we brought her to Gut Aiderbichl Traisen. There, old, sick and orphaned cats live peacefully together.
The cat mum was happy and Fritzi is happy, even if the cat can no longer purr for his long-time charges. Fritzi lives in Traisen in a group of FiV infected cats and enjoys being with the others.

With good care and the observance of a few rules, Fritzi can live with the virus for a few more happy years without the disease breaking out and causing symptoms. Fritzi says: "Thank you that thanks to your support I have found a place and can enjoy my life to the fullest...".

Only thanks to your support we can help animals like Fritzi and give them a home for life. Please continue to support us with a donation or a symbolic sponsorship. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts - stay healthy!
