Our dogs in Greece are looking for a home

Eugenia, a dog rescuer in Greece, had 50 dogs under her protection when she became very ill and passed away. Her husband did not have the strength to take care of the animals and left them to fend for themselves. Powerless, he distanced himself from the great aid project of his late wife. The living situation of the big dog family got out of hand until a Greek biologist and her husband took care of the dogs and also sought contact with Gut Aiderbichl. The dogs were to be placed. 14 dogs were taken over by a German animal welfare activist.

Michael Aufhauser strongly supported the project of the Greek dogs. Gut Aiderbichl helped the biologist to renovate the dogs' accommodation, to facilitate the work with the dogs and also to create more comfortable living conditions.
A few weeks ago, we received a letter from the couple who took care of the dogs for many years. They are now retired, over 70 years old and the work with so many dogs in their house and garden becomes too burdensome for them.

Eugenia's dogs want a loving forever-home

Bob and Dylan -are three years old each and were found as 3-month-old puppies at a hotel in 2019. The hotel staff fed them the leftovers from the hotel guests' breakfast. The hotel closed for the winter season and Bob and Dylan came to live with Eugenia. Bob was very trusting, but Dylan was shy. They stayed with Euenia for some time, and then were placed in Germany through a Greek animal shelter. Unfortunately, Bob and Dylan came back a year later.

Mina -is between 6 and 7 years old. In 2021 she was discovered completely emaciated in front of a monastery. A severe infection was successfully fought with antibiotics. Mina is a small, warm-hearted dog who fears neither humans nor animals. She is very intelligent, very friendly and is a perfect dog for elderly people.

Jerry -is a big cuddly dog who must have had one ear cut off when he was a puppy. He was waiting for his rescuer Eugenia near a garbage dump. He is a diplomat and does not join scuffles among dogs. Unfortunately, there is no information about Jerry's exact age.

Lucy -One-year-old Lucy was given away by her owners because she was afraid of other dogs. She lives in Eugenia's dog group and is not afraid of big or small dogs. She is always looking for her humans and she wants to be in the house. Every caress is immediately rewarded by Lucy with the most loyal doggy look in the world.

Eugenia and her husband are proud "parents" of seven lively, still very young dogs. It's about seven siblings who were born in October 2021 in a sewer pipe. Eugenia wanted to protect the mommy from the heavy rain, but she could not be caught. Eugenia and her husband took her seven puppies into their care. A few weeks later, they wanted to attempt again to bring the mother to her puppies. Unfortunately, she was untraceable, presumably deceased like many dogs due to drought, lack of food and diseases. The seven young dogs are looking for a new forever-home.

Cindy, Celia, Charlotte, Cassie and Chloe are sisters

Cindy - is the smallest among her sisters. She walks on a leash, is well socialized and loves to cuddle. Cindy is an excellent swimmer and enjoys walks. She would be a loyal companion for younger people who are active and enjoy hiking or swimming.

Cassie - is the calmest among the siblings. She loves to swim too, go for long walks and play with her siblings, but she also loves to cuddle most of all. Cassie is a bon vivant and loves people and life.

Celia - is playful, loves to cuddle, is very intelligent and obedient. As soon as she hears her name, she is there. Water is one of the greatest elements for her. Celia would be an asset to younger dog lovers who enjoy hiking or swimming.

Charlotte - like Cindy, she is a rather small dog, likes strangers and is fearless. Charlotte would be a great fit for a family who enjoys hiking, long walks in nature or swimming.

Chloe - is the queen of independence. She loves when you go with her to the city and looks at all people friendly. Her home and family are sacred to her and are guarded. At the same time, she is never aggressive or barks like crazy - she is simply attentive.

The two males Chewie and Chicco are the brothers of Cindy, Celia, Charlotte, Cassie and Chloe. Chewie is a bigger male, never aggressive, but trusting and friendly. He is a sir and, like his sisters, loves to swim. By the way, he doesn't care to go swimming in January or summer. His brother Chicco is a dreamer. He is a sunny boy and is friendly with everyone. Sometimes he bickers with his brother Chewie, but all is soon well again. Like all his siblings, Chicco loves water sports more than anything.

Dogs are like books, you just have to be able to read them, then you can learn a lot.
