Dwarf hare Carbonara
could not have boys
A dwarf rabbit was taken in by a lady who took good care of the rabbit. Carbonara came from a breeding, because she could not have boys, she should "go".
The bunny was lovingly nursed up. Then came the next problem for Carbonara. Her new owner had to think about giving her away, because she was diagnosed with a hay allergy. Furthermore, the landlord did not want to tolerate pets in his apartment.
Carbonara found her forever home at Gut Aiderbichl in Deggendorf.
Carbonara now lives in best rabbit company
Many rabbits populate the enclosure in Deggendorf. They come from a wide variety of husbandry situations and had to find a new home.
For example, the white-brown rabbit Max - he was four years old when he was brought to Deggendorf. His partner had unfortunately passed away and the owners did not want to get a second rabbit.
The dwarf rabbit Lisa lives for about one year in Deggendorf. Her beautiful, soft fur is white and brown and has black spots. Lisa was given away because of a change of apartment.
Due to health and age reasons, the rabbits Kiba and Shadow were given away. The list could be continued.
It hurts in the soul of animals and people
When health, spatial or financial problems of the owners get out of hand, it has to be decided how to proceed with keeping animals.
Shouldn't people think about the living situation, spatial conditions, etc. in a more targeted way before acquiring a pet? Targeted means: if it's allowed to keep pets, an average calculation of veterinary costs, etc.
Rabbits in solitary confinement become lonely, eventually get behavioral disorders and diseases. The fact is that rabbits should not be kept alone.
Dwarf rabbits are extremely social animals and absolutely need contact with conspecifics with whom they can play, "talk" or even sometimes argue.
You can't just "park" rabbits
Carbonara and her rabbit friends have fun all day long, as well as attention. Every single rabbit in our enclosures has its own wonderful personality with a story.
Our caregivers care about each rabbit's soul and personality and spend as much time with them as possible. Rabbits can't just be "parked" in a cage - they make demands, and that must be considered at the time of purchase.
Carbonara knows that the animal-loving lady meant well with her. Like every dog and cat does not forget its owner, Carbonara will immediately recognize her former owner by her voice. Have fun with all the other rabbits in Deggendorf!
