Cat
Cashew
From the perspective of Gut Aiderbichl
(written by Gisela Pschenitschnig)
Cat Cashew is about two years old. One day, the employees of Gut Aiderbichl Iffeldorf discovered a small cat at the farm. One thing was clear - Cashew did not come from the cat's living room.
No one thought anything bad, everyone did their work. Cashew was to be found also the next days again and again at the yard.
Where did cashew come from? Abandoned? Run to?
Cashew gave no signal that he wanted to leave the farm again. Somehow his journey was over here. He seemed to like it very much among all the donkeys, sheep, goats and so on.
Cashew looks for his sleeping places, where it pleases him at the moment. There is hay and straw everywhere for him to snuggle up to. Sometimes Cashew sleeps in the cowshed, then with the sheep and goats, with the donkeys, with the pigs - he has plenty of choice.
Cashew is a heartbreaker
and wraps all people around his little paws
Whether male or female keeper - Cashew has them all wrapped around his velvet paws. Everywhere he finds a breakfast, a bite to eat for lunch and even in the evening Cashew does not have to go hungry in the hay.
He lets himself be stroked by visitors, and can't get enough petting either. If he could talk, maybe he would tell us a special story? Anyway, Cashew is a very well-balanced, lovable cat who loves people and obviously does not intend to leave his new environment.
"Why should I? Man, here there is everything that a cat can only wish for. Good food, lots of animals, heaps of hay and straw where I can hole up at night.
Not to forget, here are many mice, which are sometimes too slow and then, well - I don't want to talk about that now. After all, I live at Gut Aiderbichl, where animals live until the end of their lives."
When it was decided to have Cashew as a free runner at the farm, he was of course castrated. He must have liked that less.
"There you go. Sorry. That wasn't really funny either. But, everything turned out well. I overheard a conversation where it was told that from a cat family, where the female kittens are not spayed, after eight years something like 80,000 cats are born. Amazing."
A dozing cat is the image of perfect bliss.

Cashew was suddenly just there, and we wish that he will continue to entertain visitors at the Begegnungshof on Gut Aiderbichl in Iffeldorf with his elegance and his charm.
