Cat Hägar

A stray is just learning to trust

Hägar lived in an animal shelter in Switzerland. One was in search of for a reintroduction place, to to his He was no longer allowed to be brought to the place where he was found.
That's when the idea came up to call the management of the Aiderbichler cat shelter in Teufen. Here tomcat Hägar get a place.

The health check showed some problems

Hägars age can only be estimated. He should be around 12 years old.
The front right paw shows a deformity, and an x-ray legte openlythat the bone of the right fifth toe was severed. In the fourth toe, the joint space is too large. The bone is stablebut the tendon is severed. Probably Hägar pinched his paw once pinched. The vet thinks that the cat has no feeling in the two toes.
Hägar was neutered and some health tests for various feline diseases were performed. He seems so far healthy so far. Now the "wild" Hägar even has a vaccination certificate.

Hägar's escape from humans and new friendship with a cat

Hägar is fearful and retreats. As soon as he feels pressured, he looks for the distance. Just like he probably did when he was a "wild" Hägar in the wild. He still does not really want to come into contact with people.

Möhrli, a former convent cat, has also been living in the cat house of Gut Aiderbichl in Teufen for several years. Möhrli is coal black and has settled in very quickly in Teufen.

Hägar wants absolute peace and quiet and avoids everything and everyone, but Möhrli, in her charming way, might be able to get Hägar to let go a little more, and maybe even - someday - build up trust with his humans.

Before Möhrli came to Teufen, she lived comfortably in an outbuilding of a monastery and was always well cared for. Here there were cozy blankets, protection from wind, rain, snow and heat and enough food. Möhrli was also very shy at first, but the sisters created a stable, trusting bond with Möhrli with their love and kindness. The convent grounds were Möhrli's territory until one day, due to too few residents in the convent, the convent was closed. A new place had to be found for Möhrli. It seemed impossible, and they thought of putting him to sleep. The Lord God wanted it differently: by chance they heard about the cat house in Teufen, and here Möhrli lives happily ever after.

The confidence of the animals

Animals are capable of true friendship. Like man, they appreciate the closeness to another living being and show their feelings. How to communicate this theoretical statement to a shy tomcat Hägarwho spent his time outdoors, and could do and do what he wanted there? Hägar will probably need some time to get to know people. vertrust. Maybe his peers can do it, Hägars skeptical nature?
Cat Möhrli would be an excellent candidate for this. She can be be made nervous by by absolutely nothing and nobody, Möhrli rests in herself. When Hägar is clever, he sticks to Möhrliand one day he will be a happy, trusting and content Hägar his

A cat is only technically an animal, otherwise it is divine.
