Locke the ox and his Lassa
When people believe in animals
From the perspective of Gut Aiderbichl
(written by Gisela Pschenitschnig)
Our employees actually wanted to pick up Locke the ox so that he could move into his new forever home in Iffeldorf. It turned out that Locke had a girlfriend. The cow's name is Lassa. She could no longer have calves and would have been sent to the slaughterhouse at the age of 13. Her friendship with Locke saved her life.
Look and help is an important motto in the field of animal rescue
A very animal-loving lady had the five-year-old Locke when his friend died, and he was probably destined for the slaughterhouse. Every day the lady visited visited her Lockewho was always looking forward to seeing her again. with her always looked forward to seeing her again.
Locke is very trusting, affectionate and in love with his humans. He also gets on well with everyone in the cattle group. He doesn't care much about the age or sex of the cattle. Locke leads a balanced life and is actually just happy.
He also enjoys being groomed, stroked and cuddled by his rescuer. She is not afraid of his horns. If you know a bit about cattle, you know how to behave so that you don't have to feel the horns.
A game with emotions - The recruitment fee has been increased again
For five years, the lady has been paying money for Locke so that he can live in a stable. Locke lives here with two cows. As the feed in the pasture became increasingly scarce, Locke had to stay in the stable. In fact, he was only kept in the stable and the two dairy cows grazed in the pasture.
The situation around Locke came to a head. Locke wanted to move around and not have to stand in the stable. What's more, the farmer increased the rent for Locke's place. He knew how strong the bond was between Locke and his human friend.
Locke's rescuer was close to despair. She spared no expense for her ox, but now she felt totally cornered financially and tried her luck several times at Gut Aiderbichl's animal emergency center.
"Please make it possible for me not to lose Locke completely ..."
It was made possible that Locke and his girlfriend Lassa both at Gut Aiderbichl in Iffeldorf could.
Matthias, caretaker in Iffeldorf, says affectionately: "... Locke and his Lassa have settled in the Aiderbichler herd of cattle and are still inseparable. With his brown and gold coat, Locke looks a bit like a Christ child and everyone are in love in love with Locke. Lassa is still more skeptical about us, but that will surely change ...".
It is not thinking that redeems the world, but love.
~Manfred Kyber, 1880 - 1933, poet and cultural critic
In the case of Locke and Lassa it is not money that should win, but love and respect for animals. Yours sincerely, Gisela
