How's it going, by the way...

Laurèl, La Vivi and Jumper?

The last road for the pony mare Laurèl and three other ponies from a circus was to end at the horse slaughterhouse. They were now too old - although barely in their middle years - and were discarded. But all four were to be lucky. The ponies were brought to Gut Aiderbichl by the horse dealer. The condition of the animals was catastrophic: they were dejected and somehow shy. But from day to day, they became happier and probably felt that nothing could happen to them.

Laurèl did not come alone

Laurèl is about 20 years old today. On the day she was taken in, she seemed sad and depressed, who knows what she had endured. Her health was not the best either. Immediately after the admission, Laurèl went to an eye specialist. Unfortunately, her left eye had to be removed. She recovered quickly from the operation and came back to Henndorf.
We are used to the well-fed tummies of our animals, they should want for nothing. Laurèl's tummy, however, was suspiciously round. On 22 March 2015, she gave birth to her princess - La Vivi, in the donkey stable, because there we had a nice big box for her and her foal.

La Vivi should not have existed...

because Laurèl and her three friends were destined for slaughter. The amniotic sac and foal would have been thrown into the so-called slaughter waste and their mother Laurèl would have ended up on the plate. That is the reality, we must not close our eyes to it. It's just the way it is: no longer worth anything and away with it. From the first moment of her birth, everything revolved around little La Vivi. She will never have to be a circus princess like her mum.

Laurèl had a beau (Jumper) and La Vivi got an adoptive dad

From the first moment, our shy Jumper, a grey pony, had fallen in love with Laurèl. Jumper had been a breeding stallion for many years, was discarded and should also have been slaughtered. An animal lover took him in. Unfortunately, she had to give up her riding stable after some time and could no longer keep the animals and in 2013 Jumper came to Henndorf. Jumper buzzed around Laurèl like a bee around a flower. Laurèl was very flattered. When La Vivi lay freshly born in the straw, Jumper stood in front of the box and didn't let anyone in: not the keepers, not the vet - no one. It is a love for eternity.

La Vivi the Princess of Henndorf...

has a bubbly temperament and needs a lot of exercise. Therefore, we brought the little family Laurèl, La Vivi and Jumper to Gut Aiderbichl Eslarn. There La Vivi can run as far as her young legs will take her. If everything continues to go well, the spirited pony can definitely live to see 2065, because ponies can live to be 50 years old. Her one-eyed mother and Jumper are happy to witness how free and carefree La Vivi can enjoy her pony life.

Horse Jumper

Pony

Jumper was used as a breeding stallion for many years. But then the day came when he was "taken out of service" and he almost met the same fate as so many ponies and horses do every day....

Horse La Vivi

Pony

When La Vivi's mother, the pony mare Laurel, came to us at Gut Aiderbichl at the end of 2014, she was in a terrible condition. Neglected, emaciated and with a tumour under her eye, she was waiting in a dealer's stable....

Horse Laurel

Pony

When our attention was drawn to Laurel and three other ponies, our breath was taken away. Although the four, who had supposedly served in a circus for many years, had not even reached the middle of their lives, they were...
