Years ago there were 7 Shire Horses - now 6 little budgies
which are not to be separated
Stories repeat themselves. A few years ago, we took in 7 Shire Horses whose owners felt unable to care for the huge horses due to their age. Under no circumstances did the people want to give away their horses individually. Only in the group - that was the important motto.
A few weeks ago there was a request to take in 6 budgies. The motto was also here: only in the group, and not separate from each other.
Dieter Ehrengruber has always been of the opinion that there is a solution for everything. In 2017 there was a solution in the sense of the animals for the inclusion of the huge Shire Horses, and this time the positive decision went in favor of much, much smaller animals, namely 6 beautiful budgies.

They gave much pleasure to their owners
An animal-loving couple bought 6 budgies with the beautiful names Blacky, Emely, Filou, Sam, Sky and Zazu over 2 years ago. They considered everything carefully before the birds moved in.
Some things in life cannot be influenced by man. Depression and long stays in hospital made it more and more difficult to keep the singing friends. Necessary operations and further hospital stays finally required a new forever-home for the flock of birds.
"It breaks our hearts and we are so sad that we have to give away our birds, but due to our health situation, unfortunately I see no other way out ..." - said the owner of the budgies.
The budgie house in Henndorf has so again new roommates
The wooden house, which is now home to numerous budgies, is becoming more and more crowded and colorful.
Blacky, blue-white, Emely, turquoise-white, Filou, yellow-green, Sky, snow-white, Zazu, blue and Sam, a yellow-green show parakeet - they all are now members of the big budgie family.
Show wave parakeets and their importance
Show budgies are bred in England. They are larger and more imposing than the well-known budgerigars. The show wave parakeet has a hood shaped head plumage, which often causes the birds to have frequent irritation of the eyes, and, because of their size suffer from flight and weight problems.
Sam is doing well, and you can tell by the way he likes to sit fluffed up, crunching his beak and having one little leg tucked in. Show wave parakeets are calmer than the standard wave parakeets.
The budgie and its language and music preferences
The small, colorful birds entertain themselves with 11 different sounds. The most typical sound is probably the beautiful trill. The little friends love classical piano pieces, pop music and also pop music, and many of them whistle the melodies happily along.
Music relaxes, nevertheless, the budgies can also feel fear and stress. Then the body is made long, the budgie goes thereby into the squat. They can also look up to find a possible escape route.
In the budgie house there is chirping, chatting and singing happily. The birds are in a good mood and happy.
Blacky, Emely, Filou, Sam, Sky and Zazu would also recognize their people by their voice. They are smart and, similar to cows, pigs, dogs, etc., the little fellows do not forget their people.

If we lose sight of the welfare of other beings, it is as if we are blind in one eye.
